What is a Lifestyle PA?

A Lifestyle PA will lighten your load and  ensure your life is as stress-free as possible. They will help with the myriad of tasks on your to-do list when you are finding it challenging to carve out time from work or family life to manage them yourself, and possibly feeling overwhelmed by it all. Unlike a traditional Personal Assistant who is focused on office tasks, they provide mainly remote or virtual assistance in various aspects of your daily life. They will offer you a proactive hands-on approach supporting you as needed, and tailored to you specifically, adapting to your preferences and requirements.

A remote Lifestyle PA is self-employed, and so alleviates all the inconvenience and expenditure associated with hiring an employee. You also get to determine how much help you need...and when.

Some areas where I can help you are:

Travel Itineraries & Reservations

  • Researching and booking travel, both nationally and internationally. Researching and booking flights and transfers, accommodation, restaurants & entertainment. Liaising with agents, and presenting full itineraries.
  • Accompanying family members on flights, making sure that they arrive safely at their destination.

Quotations & Product Sourcing

  • Quotations for anything! From cleaning to curtain making, and catering to removals companies. I will gather together costs/quotations and timings.
  • Product sourcing for everything from soft furnishings and household products to personal gifts. The list is endless.

Home & Property Management

  • Recruiting  and managing household staff.
  • Liaising with contractors at your personal residence, both on-site and remotely, and overseeing refurbishment works.
  • Advising on how to make better use of space and decluttering your home.
  • Preparing  a main residence or second home for your arrival  or closing up after your departure.
  • Ordering groceries, flowers and household items.

Event Planning

  • For small drinks and dinner parties to larger celebrations, researching venues, sourcing equipment and suppliers from caterers to photographers, and liaising with staff.
  • Hosting events.
  • Sending out invitations and managing RSVPs.

How it Works

Recurring Part-Time Support

This type of support is for when you don’t have enough time to sort out the many things that day to day life throws at you at home and you require someone to help you on a recurring regular basis.  Your virtual ‘girl-friday’, assisting you with the organisation and management of your personal lifestyle. You may need help with either a variety or a set of tasks each month. For example, managing your personal diary and making  private reservations, researching and making travel reservations, booking your family holidays, overseeing repairs or maintenance at home and keeping household policies up to date. I can also liaise with and/or take instruction from your PA, and where necessary travel to you and/or your home to meet suppliers or on-site contractors, manage or interview household staff and take care of any domestic issues whilst you are away, to include opening your home and having it prepared for your return. I will initially need to familiarise myself with your current ongoing personal lifestyle requirements and this support is charged for on a hourly basis. From there, we set an amount of hours per month to be used as required, and will guarantee my availability for you.

Ad-Hoc Support

Ad-hoc support is as and when needed., flexibility without any long-term obligations on an as-required pay as you go basis and without any ongoing commitment.  You might just need help with a specific project (for example house removals, gift purchasing, household staff employment, booking a one off family holiday) or assistance with planning a specific event (collating quotations for caterers, printers, florists, entertainment, staff etc). Or possibly you need a fresh set of eyes at home, and need help reorganising a room or the whole house, re-setting and/or decluttering.  Or perhaps you have a relative who needs accompanying on a flight to join you on your holiday. Ad-hoc support can be one-off help, or every now and again.
Each single event or project will be charged for on a 'per event' basis at my set hourly rate.

Why Me?/A Little Bit About Me

I worked for many years in Interior Design and Event Management, gaining invaluable experience liaising with clients and contractors and dealing with deadlines and unexpected emergencies. One of the things that I enjoyed most was forming a relationship with my clients, and seeing their events and projects through from start to finish.

Having moved to Sussex and continuing to bring up my family, I recognised a gap in the local market and set up my own millinery and hat hire business (always a secret passion!).  Once again, I was working in an industry where it was important for me to form a relationship with my clients, to find out exactly what they needed, and for me to offer them guidance and reassurance. My clients wanted so much more than just a hat for a special occasion. During this time, I also set up a luxury gift fair, with over 75 stalls selling mainly British brands. I ran the fair for several years before handing the reigns over and it raised many thousands of pounds for local children's charities.

I am a self-motivated organiser. Efficient organisation comes to me instinctively.  I have excellent and articulate communication skills, am loyal and super trustworthy, and importantly (I believe) have a great sense of humour! Equally as important is that I am personable, and can communicate on all levels and therefore I am able to adapt to any situation. I know when to push forward, and when to step back. I have a high expectation of service, which I believe has always translated well into the workplace, and what I can offer my clients. I love travel, and enjoy the research almost as much as the event itself!
